Dr. Kim Beaucage
Born and raised in Kitchener-Waterloo, Dr Kim Beaucage completed her Honours Bachelor of Science with a Minor in Biology undergraduate degree at the University of Waterloo. She went on to pursue graduate studies at Western University (formerly the University of Western Ontario), where she completed a PhD in Physiology with a Specialization in Musculoskeletal Health Research specifically focused on diseases of bone and metabolism.
Dr Beaucage was selected for enrollment in the Schulich Dental Clinician-Scientist (DCS) program — a unique program consisting of a PhD in an area of research relevant to dentistry followed by a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at Western University. During her DDS, Dr Beaucage participated in the Dentistry Summer Research Program to remain involved with research focused on arthritis and osteoporosis related diseases.
Dr Beaucage’s work has been recognized with numerous scholarships and awards, has contributed to funding of research grants from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and The Arthritis Society, and has been published in top-tier peer-reviewed scientific journals within her field. She has been invited to present her work nationally and internationally. Most recently, Dr Beaucage was awarded the Quintessence Research Award of Distinction for exemplary research in an undergraduate dental program, and the Quintessence Award in Restorative Dentistry for excellence in the clinical aspects of Operative Dentistry from Western University.
In her spare time, Dr Beaucage enjoys travel, fitness, outdoor activities such as hiking, and spending time with friends and family. She continues to be active in dental-related research, and has a passion for teaching. Dr Beaucage has taught dental students at Western University since 2018, as she holds appointments as an Adjunct Clinical Professor in Dentistry, and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in Physiology.
Dr Beaucage — or Dr Kim as she’s better known to her patients — is delighted to provide dental care at Riverfront Dental in Cambridge. A scientist at heart, she strongly believes in keeping up-to-date with the latest scientific literature in the field, practicing scientific evidence-based dentistry and continuing to be a life-long learner. Dr Kim truly loves to help her patients smile with confidence, while providing a calm and relaxing environment.
Dr. Rifaan Lalji
Dr. Rifaan Lalji was raised in London, Ontario. He attended McMaster University where he completed his Bachelor of Health Sciences, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He then attended Western University where he completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. During his dental education Dr. Lalji was recognized for his excellence in Restorative Dentistry, receiving the Canadian Academy of Operative Dentistry award.
In his spare time when Dr. Lalji is not in the dental clinic, he can be found cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs, playing golf and spending time with friends and family.
Dr. Lalji enjoys connecting with his patients, creating an environment where they feel comfortable asking questions to understand the various procedures and treatment options. He is excited to continue providing excellent dental care and ensuring patients have access to the latest technologies and procedures by expanding his dental knowledge through Continuing Education courses. Dr. Lalji is excited to work alongside the talented Riverfront Dental team to provide patients with excellent oral health and exceptional patient service.
Dr. Sandra Gerlich
Dr. Sandra Gerlich grew up in Oakville, Ontario. She obtained her undergraduate degree at the University of British Columbia where she received the Twenty-8 award for academic achievement and the Academic All-Canadian award. After graduating, she moved to Ireland to complete her dental degree at the University College Cork, where she was awarded the title of College Scholar. She stayed in Ireland to gain valuable working experience before returning to Canada. Having moved to Cambridge, Ontario, Dr. Gerlich is thrilled to offer her experience and expertise to the local community.
Dr. Gerlich believes in a patient-centered approach and places a strong emphasis on prevention. She prides herself in her ability to listen to her patients and provide tailored treatments. Dr. Gerlich frequently attends continuous education courses to stay up-to-date and broaden her skills further.
When Dr. Gerlich is not at the office, she enjoys skiing, hiking, travelling and playing piano.
