Dental Fees at Riverfront Dental in Cambridge
These are Riverfront Dental's listed fees for common services, as of October 2026. Each fee covers only the service named. Please contact us about your insurance coverage and any questions about costs. For anything not listed here, we give you an estimate after your exam.
What does a dental cleaning cost at Riverfront Dental?
A cleaning appointment with three units of scaling, about 45 minutes, costs $202 at Riverfront Dental. Ontario dental offices bill cleanings in units of scaling, and one unit is about 15 minutes. Someone with more tartar or gum problems may need more units, sometimes over two visits. Your exam and any X-rays are separate fees.
| Service | Fee code | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Scaling, three units (about 45 minutes) | 11113 | $202 |
Ask your hygienist how many units they expect before they start, so the total is clear.
What does a dental exam cost?
A problem-focused or emergency exam at Riverfront Dental costs $56 to $162. This is the exam you book for one specific concern, such as a toothache, a broken tooth or swelling. The fee covers the exam only. X-rays and any treatment you need are charged separately, and we talk through those costs with you before we start whenever possible.
| Service | Fee code | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Specific (problem-focused) exam | 01204 | $56 to $162 |
| Emergency exam | 01205 | $56 to $162 |
Ask us for the fee for a complete new patient exam when you book.
How much do dental X-rays cost?
Riverfront Dental charges $43 for a single X-ray, $64 for a set of four bitewing X-rays and $86 for a panoramic X-ray. Bitewings show decay between the back teeth. A panoramic X-ray shows all your teeth and both jaws in one image. Your dentist chooses which X-rays you need based on your exam, your history and how recent your last images are.
| Service | Fee code | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Single X-ray (periapical) | 02111 | $43 |

| Panoramic X-ray | 02601 | $86 |
Tooth extraction fees
Surgical removal of an erupted tooth costs $328 per tooth at Riverfront Dental. An erupted tooth is one that has fully come through the gum. Impacted teeth, including many wisdom teeth, need a different procedure. We quote that fee after your exam and X-rays, so you know the cost before you decide on treatment.
| Service | Fee code | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Surgical removal of an erupted tooth, per tooth | 71201 | $328 |
How much is a CBCT scan?
A 3D cone beam CT (CBCT) scan at Riverfront Dental costs $350 for a small-field scan and $410 for a large-field scan, paid at the appointment. A small-field scan covers a limited area, such as a few teeth. A large-field scan covers more of the jaw. Our dentists use CBCT to plan implants and to assess wisdom teeth or root problems.
| Service | Fee |
|---|---|
| CBCT scan, small field | $350 |
| CBCT scan, large field | $410 |
Other dentists can also refer patients for a scan. Read more about CBCT imaging in Cambridge.
Why aren't crowns, implants and Invisalign listed?
This page does not list fees for crowns, root canals, implants, veneers, Invisalign or whitening. The cost of each depends on the tooth, the materials, lab work and the number of visits. One number would be wrong for many patients. After your exam, we give you an estimate for your own treatment and can send it to your insurer first.
How insurance and CDCP change what you pay
Fees shown are the clinic's listed fees. Please contact us about your insurance coverage and any questions about costs. We direct bill most plans. If you are enrolled in the Canadian Dental Care Plan, we bill the plan through Sun Life, and you may owe a co-payment based on your family income. Read more about insurance and payment options.
